Upgrading to RemoteSpark v2.2

Upgrade Information

Regardless of which active version you are running (v2.0.33 or Early Access v2.1), updating your current application will upgrade you to RemoteSpark™ v2.2.


Updating your PC App

If you do have access to the Microsoft Store:


Updating your HoloLens App

If you do have access to the Microsoft Store:

  • Headset User: Search "RemoteSpark for HoloLens" in the Microsoft Store

 

Upgrading via Sideload (No Microsoft Store Access)

If you do NOT have access to the Microsoft Store:

  • You will need to update to v2.2 via Sideload (both PC and Headset).
  • Our Customer Success Team will be contacting all Sideload Customers. If urgent, please email our Customer Success Team for more information: customercare@kognitivspark.com

FAQ

Does this affect RemoteSpark On-Premise customers?

No, if your installation is on-premise, this update will not affect you at all. There will not be any required action on your side.


How long will I have to do the upgrade manually?

Updates can be performed manually until February 2, 2025.

On February 3rd, Automatic Updates will be turned on which will push the upgrade on both PC and HoloLens 2.

Can I make a call from my upgraded RemoteSpark app to earlier versions?

Version 2.2 is not cross-compatible with any earlier version RemoteSpark.

Example: A call cannot be made between a PC User using 2.0.33 & a Headset User using 2.2


Note: Starting with this this release, the version numbers will no longer be listed in the application name.
